Botanic Gardens – Opened in May 2019 and winner of Australia's Park of the Year in 2020.  A home for native birds and animals with information regarding Chinchilla's Indigenous, railway and megafauna histories.  There's also a water park for the kids to enjoy.

Charley's Creek - Runs alongside The Laurels' property and is a haven for birds and other wildlife.  Enjoy views of the creek from our property, where you can see turtles, lizards, echidnas and a variety of birds such as kingfishers.  Or take the creek walk towards town, around 3km return from our front gate, which follows Charley's Creek.

Chinchilla Weir – just 8 km south of the town on the Condamine River, is a popular location for picnics bushwalking, water skiing, kayaking & fishing.

Watermelon Festival – this famous event is held bi-annually.

Bird watching - See a variety of birds around our property and along the Charley's Creek walk.  Sacred kingfishers, eastern great egrets, double-barred finches, superb fairy wrens, scaly breasted lorikeets, red-tailed black cockatoos, rainbow lorikeets and more seen from our property regularly.

Sporting Facilities – Include tennis, rugby league, football, horse racing, golf, cricket and lawn bowls.

Aquatic Centre features an Olympic size pool plus an indoor heated 25m pool and a gymnasium.

Chinchilla Markets – held once a month, every 3rd Sunday 07:30am 12:30pm, in the Chinchilla Showgrounds.

Gem & Petrified Wood Fossicking – The local area is well reknowned for its unique petrified wood and gem specimens.

Chinchilla Historical Museum – located in town this museum gives a fascinating glimpse into the local area and it's history.
